Pare siano...nuovi segnalibri!

Come vi avevo detto qui, i segnalibri sono uno degli oggetti che più mi diverte collezionare e realizzare. Ovviamente adoro leggere e mi piace condividere questa mia passione sia con i bambini durante le letture animate in biblioteca, che sul web con le amiche di Anobii.

Proprio per alcune di queste ho realizzato i miei ultimi segnalibri!

As I told you here, bookmarks are one of the object that I mostly like to collect and to make.

Obviously I love to read and I share this passion with children during the acted readings and in the Internet with my new friends of Anobii.

Just for some of  them I made my last bookmarks!

I materiali utilizzati sono: cartoncino di diverso spessore e colore, carta di volantini e giornali, nastri e fili di recupero (come sempre il riciclaggio creativo da me non manca mai!).

The materials I used are: card of different colours and thickness, paper of flyers and magazines, old ribbons and threads (as usual the creative recycling couldn't miss!).

Il mio preferito è sicuramente quello con le note musicali che ho pazientemente disegnato una ad una (rigo compreso!); è stato un lavoro certosino ma alla lunga anche molto rilassante!

My favourite is for sure the one with the notes that I patiently drew one by one (stave included); it has been a painstaking but also very relaxing  work!

Questo che vi mostro invece l'ho realizzato per l'autrice del libro "Il tesoro nascosto - Favole", Paola Cavallari. Ho fatto parte di una catena di lettura e ho potuto così conoscere i suoi tenerissimi racconti e proprio una di queste storie ha ispirato il mio regalo per lei!

This is a little gift I made for Paola Cavallari, author of the book "Il tesoro nascosto - Favole". I joined a bookcrossing group and I had the opportunity to discover her sweet tales and one of those inspired my bookmark for her!

Bè, che altro aggiungere...buon weekend e buone letture a tutti!!

Pare sia...uno sasso-spasso!

Qualcuno di voi ha mai letto il libro "La collina dei conigli" di Richard Adams?
In questo romanzo che narra le vicende di un gruppo di conigli alla ricerca della libertà, si parla del gioco "sasso-spasso", un passatempo molto semplice e divertente: uno dei due giocatori nasconde dietro la schiena un certo numero di sassi mentre l'altro ne deve indovinare il numero.
Impropriamente ho utilizzato lo stesso termine anche per la mia creazione perchè lo "spasso" in questo caso è dato dal dipingere e dare vita a un sasso. E' il mio primo esperimento di pittura a tutto tondo, se così la vogliamo definire, e sebbene abbia ancora bisogno di perfezionamenti, il risultato non è per nulla deludente!

Have you ever read the novel "Watership Down" by Richard Adams?
This book is about the adventures of a group of rabbits in serch of freedom; in their spare time they always listen to short stories or play to "sasso-spasso" (I didn't find the right translation for this terms...sorry!): one of the two players hide behind his back some stones and the other one have to guess the number of these.
 I use this word improperly to define my creation just because I have fun to make it ("spasso" in Italian mens fun and "sasso" means stone)! It's my first experiment of painting in round and even if I have to improve my technique, the result is not so bad for me!

Il gufetto, regalo per un'amica che ama questo animale, è stato dipinto con i colori acrilici e accompagnato infine da un piccolo biglietto.

 The little owl was a gift for a friend of mine and was painted with acrylics; I also gave her a greeting card!

Pare sia...il bruco che diventa farfalla!

Eh sì! C'è voluto parecchio tempo ma alla fine sono riscita a trasformare il mio vecchio e - diciamolo pure! - brutto blocco prendiappunti!
L'ho comprato molto tempo fa al supermercato e perciò, essendo un oggetto dozzinale, già allora il suo aspetto non era dei migliori...è sempre stato con me, pronto per ogni evenienza, ma come sapete bene le borse delle donne, oltre a essere una dispensa illimitata di oggetti di ogni tipo, è anche una potente centrifuga!!
Ecco come ne è uscito il mio blocchetto:

Oh yeah! It takes me a lot of time but finally I succeded in transforming my old and ugly notebook!
I bought it a long time ago in a supermarket and so its appearance was ordinary and not very attractive...it has always been with me in my purse, ready for all eventualities, but as you know women's handbags are also powerful centrifuges!
Here is how my notebook turns out:

Un po' malandato, vero?! E allora con un po' di pazienza, ecco come l'ho fatto diventare:

It's in bad conditions, isn't it? Patiently this is how I transformed it:

Ho usato per lo più materiali da riciclare (vecchi depliant, carta velina di un vecchio pacchetto regalo...) e acquerelli per dipingere la base della copertina.
Ho anche aggiunto un cordino richiudivile fatto all'uncinetto, in maniera tale che se inserisco delle carte nel taccuino, queste non si sparpagliano per tutta la borsa. Mi sembra un buon lavoro, che dite?

I used materials to recycle (old depliants, tissue of an old packaging...) and watercolours to paint the cover. I also added a crochet string to close my notebook; in this way if I put inside some papers they wouldn't straggle all over my bag. It seems to my a good work, what do you think?

Pare sia...un inverno non del tutto grigio!

Chi l'ha detto che l'inverno è una stagione brutta, grigia e triste? Sì...è vero...questi giorni nebbiosi non ci aiutano né rallegrano ma se guardate meglio, nel giardino davanti casa vostra o in quello del vostro vicino vedrete che la natura riserva delle sorprese anche quando sembra che tutto stia dormendo! Qualche esempio?

Who said that winter is a bad, grey and sad season? Ok...that's true...these foggy days don't brighten up our mood but if you look better, in the garden in front of your house or in the neighbouring one you will see that nature reserves a lot of surprises even when everything seems to sleep! Any example?

Ispirata da tutto questo ho realizzato questo biglietto di compleanno per un'amica nata nel freddo dicembre:
Insipring by these flowers, I made a greeting card for a friend who was born in the cold december:

Come vedete il biglietto è composto da un fiore (forse un papavero?), assemblato con vecchi depliant e un bottone automatico. Lo sfondo è dipinto ad acquerello mentre gli auguri sono frutto delle lettere trasferibili.

Non mi resta che augurarvi un buon inverno colorato e invitarvi a guardarvi in giro...perchè niente è così grigio come sembra!

As you can see, the card is made up of a big flower (maybe a poppy?) that I cut from some old leaflets and decorated with a button. The background is watercolour painted and the written is made with transferable letters.

Have a coloured winter and look around...nothing is so grey as it seems!

Pare siano...pensieri di Natale

Il Natale è ormai passato e con esso anche quell'atmosfera di magia e attesa che tanto lo caratterizza...eh sì...dovremmo aspettare un altro anno prima di rivederlo!

Per tutti i nostalgici, ho deciso di pubblicare le foto di due mie creazioni che, spero, vi faranno sentire ancora per un po' il sapore del Natale.

Chi non sogna un bianco Natale? E allora eccolo qua, ricreato sull'ultimo dei miei bigliettini per augurare buone feste! E' un misto fra carta e cotone perchè l'ho impreziosito con un fiocco di neve più grande, lavorato all'uncinetto seguendo il pattern della Lion Brand Yarn. Infine ho aggiunto anche delle decorazioni con la carta trasparente e dei ghirigori disegnati a mano.

Bianco su bianco vi presento anche il coniglietto Noel, regalino per nostra cugina devo ammettere molto apprezzato! Pubblicherò il pattern nel prossimo post...aspettatelo!

Christmas is now gone and with it, also the magical and snowy atmosphere...oh yes...we have to wait another year before seeing it again!

For all the nostalgic people, today I'm going to post the photos of my creations which (I hope) will make you feel the Christmas taste once more!

For those who want a white Christmas, here it is my last greetings card! It's a mixture of paper and cotton because the big snowflake is worked by hook, following this pattern of Lion Brand Yarn. At the end I glued on it pieces of see-through paper and drew some squiggles.

White is the perfect colour and here it is the crochet rabbit Noel, a little present for our cousin.

Pare siano...prove tecniche di Natale!

Ci siamo...ormai mancano davvero pochi giorni a Natale e ovunque fervono i preparativi!
Anche le mie mani sono al lavoro e oggi vi mostro un'opera completa e una che invece sta procedendo di buona lena verso la conclusione:

Eccolo qua, un semplice bigliettino d'auguri realizzato con un cartoncino bianco come base, una carta da regalo dalle sfumature rosse e oro, e piccoli cerchi al cui interno ho disegnato i simboli più classici di questo periodo: un albero di Natale, una stella cometa, un bastoncino di zucchero e un pupazzo di neve. La scritta "Natale di gioia" è fatta a mano con una penna a china e un tocco di acrilico bianco.

Quella che vedete in primo piano invece è l'opera a metà...vi svelo di cosa si tratta?
Mmh no...lasciamo un po' di suspense!

Vi mostro invece il nostro alberello di rami che giusto ieri abbiamo finito di addobbare:

E' posizionato vicino all'entrata di casa e la sua aria un po' trasandata ma festosa lo rende un perfetto invito ad entrare e godersi l'atmosfera natalizia dell'interno. Purtroppo però queste giornate piovose non sono molto d'aiuto per chi vuole fare delle foto al chiuso, così devo (ahimè) rinunciare a mostrarvi il nostro albero di Natale e le varie decorazioni sparse per casa...sarà per la prossima volta!


Here we are...Christmas is nearly here and everywhere you look, you could see decorations and ornaments!
My hands are also busy and today I would like to show you a completed work and another one that is going to be ready soon. The first one is a simple greetings card made with a white card, some red and gold wrapping paper and little drawing circles (a Christmas tree, the Star of Betlehem, a candy cane and a snowman). The writing "Chritsmas of joy" is handmade using ink and a touch of white acriclic.

The crochet thing in the foreground is my work-in-progress...should I tell you what it will be?
Mmh no...I will spring a surprise on you!

But I could show you our decorated tree made out from branches.
We put it just next to the house door and its shabby but merry look invites you to enter and enjoy the Christmas atmospher. Unfortunately the weak light of these rainy days is not ideal to take some photos of the indoor...so I have to postpone the imagines of our Christmas tree and of the other decorations.

Pare sia...un biglietto per due!

Sapere di creare qualcosa per qualcuno che sicuramente l'apprezzerà ti dà una grande soddisfazione! Non sembra anche voi che il lavoro riesca meglio?

E' il caso di questo bigliettino realizzato per il compleanno delle mie AmicheGemelle. Ha una struttura molto semplice: un cartoncino verde su cui ho incollato un rettangolo di carta da regalo, un nastrino color porpora, un ovale con un mio disegno a pastelli e infine la dedica. Eppure ha suscitato un sacco di esclamazioni e di complimenti! Non posso quindi non esserne un po' orgogliosa!

Anche la dedica all'interno è una mia invenzione in rima (sebbene la metrica non sia proprio il mio forte!):

2 come la vostra vita insieme,

come la condivisione di ogni bene,

per non esssere soli

nel mondo là fuori;

5 come una mano aperta

che saluta alla scoperta

di essere anche lei parte

di una festa ad arte!

Auguri per i vostri 25 anni!

I due pacchetti erano poi accompagnati da due rose fatte con le foglie, opera di mia madre. Anche quelle hanno ricevuto parecchi complimenti! Non c'è che dire...è bello creare per gli altri!

Creating something for people who will appreciate it gives me a lot of satisfaction. Don't you think that the work turns out better?

It' s the case of this greeting card made for my TwinsFriends. Its structure is very simple: a green card on which I glued a rectangle of gift paper, a purple ribbon, my pencil drawing and the dedication. Nevertheless it excited everybody's admiration and compliments. I'm proud of it!

Even the dedication inside is my idea (obviously I can't write the same rhyme in English - sorry!):

2 as your life together

as the sharing of every good things,

for being with someone

in the world outside;

5 as an open hand

that greets the discover

that she is taking part

to a great party!

The two gifts were decorated with two roses made out of leaves, my mother's work! There were many "wow!!" and "beautiful!" for them too! It's beautiful to create for other people!

Pare sia...un biglietto d'auguri!

Una delle mie passioni preferite - come molti dei miei amici sanno - è quella di creare biglietti di auguri. Ne ho fatti veramente tantissimi e di qualsiasi genere: da quelli interamente disegnati a quelli realizzati con la tecnica del collage, da quelli minimalisti a quelli ricchi di particolari. Naturalmente i primi erano abbastanza approssimativi e rivedendoli adesso sicuramente me ne vergognerei...ma d'altronde da qualcosa bisogna pur iniziare!!

Questo è l'ultimo bigliettino che ho realizzato e, come potete vedere, è un misto di tecniche: scrapbooking, disegno ad acquerello e uncinetto. Non ho utilizzato nessun timbro o fustella e tutto quello che vedete è fatto a mano da me (per esempio la scritta) o ritagliato con le forbici (vedi l'uccellino e le decorazioni della scritta).

One of my favourite passions - as many of my friends know - is cardmaking. I've made really a lot of them and of all sorts: entirely drawn, collage, minimal or full of details. As you can imagine, the first ones were quite approximate and if I see them now, I will be ashamed of them...but on the other hand I was early on my career!!

This is my last last card and it is a mixture of techniques: scrapbooking, watercolour draw and crochet. I didn't use any stamp or socket punch and everything you see is handmade (like the written) or handsnipped (like the decorations).
